Originally covering 14 hectares, my vineyards now consists of some 20 hectares of land more or less equally divided between five communes ( Jonquières, St André, Lagamas, St Saturnin and Montpeyroux ). The terroirs are ideal, enabling vines to grow and flourish : arid, stony soil on the limestone foothills of the Larzac plateau, cold winters and hot summers emerging from cool weather in spring and autumn.
Among the outstanding characteristics of our climate are the strong, gusty north-west winds which blow in the spring and early summer. The Tramontane, as the wind is called, is hugely beneficial to the vines: its cooling, fresh influence helps fight off diseases (particularly mildew, a vine’s worst enemy).
